Public tours are scheduled from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Feb. 12 at Swedish/Mill Creek, the new satellite emergency room opening near I-5 and 128th Street SE .
The emergency room will be open 24 hours a day and have 18 exam rooms. It will be able to treat up to 35,000 patients each year.
The new emergency room is scheduled to open at 12:01 a.m. Feb 17.
Seattle-based Swedish Health Services operates a number of hospitals and medical clinics in the Puget Sound region. Last year, it took over management of the former Stevens Hospital in Edmonds, now called Swedish/Edmonds.
