The Snohomish River valley is on flood watch because a significant amount of rainfall threatens to fall in the Cascade mountains today, the National Weather Service said on Monday.
The watch is in effect through tonight.
Flooding was not imminent, but the weather pattern showed it was possible, meteorologists said.
Observers said they plan to monitor conditions and advised people in low-lying areas to “monitor the weather and be ready to act quickly if flooding is observed or a warning is issued.”
