Florence Stack of Snohomish will celebrate her 100th birthday on Feb. 24.
The oldest of four children, Florence was born Feb. 24, 1907 in Ireland. She came to the United States by boat when she was in her early 20s and stayed with her cousin Sally.
Florence worked for a company that cleaned office buildings in downtown Seattle until she met William D. Stack. The couple were married in 1936 and had three children, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Most of them live in the Seattle area.
Florence attributes her long life to her “wonderful Savior and all her family and good friends.” She says they keep her young.
Florence will celebrate her birthday in Monroe.
