The Ken Baxter Community Center offers its Autumn Craft Show today.

It’s planned for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 514 Delta Ave. in Marysville. They plan to offers holiday items, handmade gifts, hats, pottery, wreaths, stained glass, jewelry, wood crafts and more.

Helicopter on a Sunday mission: A Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office helicopter will play a major role in some high-profile rescue training scheduled for downtown Seattle on Sunday.

Several Puget Sound area public safety agencies are teaming up to practice a rooftop firefighting and rescue drill atop a skyscraper.

The Snohomish County helicopter is scheduled to lower members of the Seattle Fire Department High Rise Firefighting-Rescue Team onto the top of the 50-story Safeco Plaza Building.

The exercises are set to begin Sunday morning and are expected to wrap up around 4:30 p.m.

Honorable farmer teaches class: Begin a series of classes at 7 p.m. Wednesday at The Open Gate Farm, 269 Russell Road on Camano Island.

The Honorable Farmer class offers ideas on how to succeed as a farmer, by Jon Stevens, a fourth-generation farmer. For more information, call 360-387-4449.

Open house in Silvana: Fire District 19 in Silvana, Station 94, offers an open house from noon to 4 p.m. today at 2720 212th St. NW in Stanwood. See Smoky Bear, Topper the Arson Dog and enjoy food and games. Kids can spray water, too.
