Fight platelet disease
“Pump it Up for Platelets!” an event to raise awareness and funds for the Platelet Disorder Support Association is scheduled for Sunday at Cascade High School’s track, 801 E. Casino Road, in Everett. The group, which provides patient support for people with platelet disorders, receives no federal funding and relies on donations to continue its work.
Registration for the 5K walk and run begins at 9 a.m. and the event is scheduled to begin 9:30 a.m.

School levy, bond discussion: Edmonds School District Superintendent Nick Brossoit today will discuss the possibility of a capital and construction bond measure on the February ballot in addition to a replacement operations levy.
The first Superintendent’s Roundtable of the school year is set for noon to 1 p.m. at the Educational Services Center, 20420 68th Ave. W., Lynnwood.
Bring your lunch and your questions. The group also will discuss topics for upcoming Roundtable conversations.
