CASA fundraiser
A bake and plant sale is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Camano Multipurpose Center, 141 E Camano Drive, Camano Island. Hot dog lunch, too. Proceeds benefit the Camano Animal Shelter Association. While visiting, cast your vote for a dog and cat art contest by Utsalady and Elger Bay elementary students. More info: camanoanimalshelter.org.
Share thoughts: Another public meeting on the Mountlake Terrace City Hall project is planned for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Way Elementary School. Architects will share potential layouts, square footage and budget numbers. Construction could start in 2019, depending on whether a ballot measure passes for funding. Comments on the project also are accepted online at www.cityofmlt.com/1899.
Design away: The city of Lynnwood is collecting submissions for a T-shirt design contest. The theme is to celebrate what you love about living, working and playing in Lynnwood. The prize is $500 and the deadline is May 31. The contest is open to everyone. The winning design will be made into T-shirts that will be available to the public and will be worn by city staff as well as showcased at local events.
