The Puget Sound Eco-Forum 2009: Local Issues, Local Actions forum is planned for Saturday in Clinton.
Topics include: clean water and growth, shoreline plants and salmon, septic systems and their effects on fish, and humans and Puget Sound.
It begins at 9:15 a.m. at Clinton Community Hall, 6411 Central Ave., a short walk from the Clinton ferry terminal. Tickets are $10, or $12 at the door.

Queen, It’s a New Day, a twice-yearly event supported by Recovery for Life Training Center, is planned for May 4 and 5 at the Holiday Inn and Suites in Everett.

On Saturday, volunteers start clearing for the new Mukilteo Community Garden.
The Mukilteo Kiwanis Club and High School Key Club will groom the first phase of a planned one-acre community garden at 4416 76th St. SW in Mukilteo.
