Learn about pasture care
The Snohomish Conservation District and Horses for Clean Water are hosting a class on how to manage pastures and control weeds without taking toxic or harmful measures. The workshop, “Spring into Pasture Management — Growing Great Grass,” is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Stillaguamish Grange Hall, 6521 Pioneer Highway. The class is free and open to the public.
The lesson plan touches on techniques including liming, spreading compost, rotational grazing and non-toxic weed control. People can register online at www.healthypasture.eventbrite.com.
Police to discuss youth issues: Mukilteo police plan a community meeting Friday to talk about issues affecting young people, including suicide, marijuana use and bullying. Everyone is welcome.
The meeting is set for 6 p.m. at City Hall, 11930 Cyrus Way.
Marysville recreation guide: The Spring-Summer Marysville Parks and Recreation Activities Guide is available online at marysvillewa.gov/activitiesguide and will soon arrive in mailboxes throughout the city.

Memorial Stadium to shine again: The football field lights are back up at Memorial Stadium after an extended power outage blamed on copper thieves. The baseball field lights should be back up Friday, according to Everett Public Schools.
