Scrap for camp
Garfield Elementary School is holding a scrap metal fundraiser Saturday to help send fifth graders to science exploration camp.
Drop off your scrap metal from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 2215 Pine St. in Everett. The school needs to raise about $6,000.

Here’s what will be accepted: Copper, brass, auto radiators, aluminum, steel, electric motors, trash compactors, water heaters, washers, dryers, lawn mowers, metal yard tools, barbecue grills, engines, mufflers, used electric gear, transmissions, transformers and balers. No refrigerators or freezers. Please remove all oils and gas.
Civil War book sale for genealogy society: Stillaguamish Valley Genealogical Society Library volunteers offer a Civil War history book sale and a bake sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the library, 135 N. Olympic Ave. in Arlington.
The Civil War books for sale include titles on battles, flags, uniforms, individual state histories and important leaders.
Proceeds benefit the library.
Chamber hosts health fair: Meet health providers within the Sky Valley area starting at 10 a.m. Saturday at Summit Rehabilitation Physical Therapy, 507 W. Stevens Ave. in Sultan.
The free Sky Valley Health Fair plans to have blood pressure screenings, cholesterol checks and blood glucose testing among other things.
