EvCC student art
Artwork created by Everett Community College students will be on display in “The Last Call” at EvCC’s Russell Day Gallery, May 13 through June 7.
The annual student art exhibit includes the work of graduating and second-year students studying ceramics, digital media, drawing, graphic design, web design, painting, photography, sculpture and music.
“This exhibition highlights the most exciting and innovative art and design that our visual arts students have produced over the past two years,” said Greg Kammer, gallery director.
Meet the artists during a public reception noon to 2 p.m. on May 16.
The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays.
The gallery is located in Parks Student Union, Room 219 at Everett Community College, 2000 Tower St.

Ferry fare increase: Peak season fares start Wednesday for vehicles on Washington state ferries. It’s a 25 percent surcharge on most routes; 35 percent on the Anacortes-San Juan Islands routes.
The surcharge helps pay for increased operations costs from May 1 through September.
