Boom City Swap Meet will open for the season Saturday, 7 a.m.-4 p.m.
The swap meet and flea market in Tulalip features a variety of merchandise including handmade crafts and antiques.
Items that will be sold include traditional Native American barbecued salmon and fry bread, handmade arts and crafts, and antiques. Admission is $1 per person with a maximum $2 per vehicle.
The swap meet runs through early September, with a month off for the exclusive use of the location for Boom City Fireworks vendors, from June 3 to July 12.

Gun control debate: A debate on gun control is planned from 7-8:30 tonight at Mukilteo City Hall, 11930 Cyrus Way.
The event features Monroe Police Chief Tim Quenzer and David Carnahan, the founder of Military and Police for Public Safety. It also will include members of the Kamiak High School debate team.
The debate will be moderated by Rep. Marko Liias.
Plant sale this weekend: The Edmonds Floretum Garden Club will hold its annual plant sale Saturday, from 9 a.m. to noon, in the PCC parking lot, 9803 Edmonds Way.
There will be a variety of annuals and perennials, including trillium, small trees, shrubs, and native plants. Proceeds benefit the club’s scholarship fund, awarded yearly to local college horticulture students.
There will be many garden-related gift items available at the Garden Boutique. Garden art, hypertufa containers and vases are among the items offered. Many will be suitable for Mother’s Day.
