Who will be Mr. EHS?
The Mr. EHS tradition is back at Everett High School. The funny talent show is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Everett Civic Auditorium, 2415 Colby Ave.
Tickets are $7 and proceeds go to the associated student body.
Ten contestants plan to compete for t
he title.
The traditional, end-of-the-year event was banned by the school administration for about five years and students are happy to have it back, said ASB officer Sam Wright.
Serve Snohomish: The city is seeking applicants to fill a vacant seat on the Snohomish Civil Service Commission, which considers matters related to the selection, appointment and employment of police.
The term is for six years and the position is unpaid.
All members of the commission must be citizens of the U.S., and residents of Snohomish for at least three years.
Applications are due to the city clerk by 4 p.m. June 8 at City Hall, 116 Union Ave., Snohomish.

Driving class for seniors: The Ken Baxter Community Center is taking registrations for a defensive driving course open to adults age 55 and older.
The course is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 1 and 2 at Marysville Fire Station 66, 7217 40th St. NE. The class costs $12 for AARP members and $14 for nonmembers.
