SEATAC — The Transportation Security Administration says two full-body scanners will be in use next week at the south security checkpoint at Sea-Tac Airport.
More will be added at other airport checkpoints in coming weeks.
The scanners use X-rays to look through clothing to see if passengers are hiding anything in their underwear. The images are viewed by a screener in a separate room.
Passengers with concerns about privacy or X-rays can choose to have a pat-down search instead.
