FYI

As of Monday, the Everett Events Center’s first country-western artist, Dolly Parton, is also the venue’s first sold-out concert.

Everett Events Center officials were “pleasantly surprised” with ticket sales for Parton’s Dec. 19 concert. Her floor seats sold out on the first day, arena spokesman Eric Blankenship said.

Siblings separated by quarter century

Brenda Litzo and Bartley Stokes of Everett welcomed baby girl Madisyn Rae on Nov. 11. Madisyn is the second child for the couple.

More than 25 years ago Litzo and Stokes had a baby boy whom they placed for adoption. They split up, married other people, but this year reunited and began a search for their son.

One day after filing papers to have their sealed adoption files released, Brenda happened to meet a woman at a car dealership bathroom in Tacoma. The woman’s aunt had adopted a son around the time Brenda had given birth. The boy turned out to be Litzo’s and Stokes’ son, Andy Fenkner.

The family reunited and Herald writer Christina Harper wrote about their story in September.

Madisyn Rae was born with her father and brother present.

Litzo and Stokes will marry in 2005 on the anniversary of their first date 28 years ago. Fenkner will walk his mother down the aisle.

Tell us about lottery schemes

Would you like to prevent someone from being scammed?

The Herald is looking for individuals or relatives of people who have become a victim of international telemarketing lottery schemes.

We plan to write about how easy it is to fall into a trap, and what devastating effects a con artist can have on individuals and their relatives. Many victims are elderly and vulnerable, and their family members don’t find out about the scam until it’s too late.
