Familias Unidas: Latino Resource Center and Explorer Middle School offer Paises Magicos, a summer day camp for Hispanic youths. The program is planned for July 6-16. Kids can participate in morning classes that will include Hispanic history, art, science and storytelling.
The free camp is for ages 11 to 14.

For a touch of patriotism this weekend, visit the traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The American Veterans Traveling Tribute will be at Marymoor Park around the clock through Sunday at 6046 W. Lake Sammamish Parkway NE in Redmond.
The Arlington Garden Club is looking for vintage clothing (1930-1980) for a fashion show celebrating its 70th year as a club. It needs men’s and women’s clothing (all sizes and toddler-size 3), all accessories, hats, purses, gloves and shoes as well as military uniforms from the ’30s to present. All items will be returned. The Everett AquaSox offer Strike Out Tobacco Night on Sunday, the second year the baseball stadium has been tobacco-free, and the 11th year the AquaSox have teamed up with Snohomish Health District to promote healthier living. The Health District’s co-sponsors for this year’s event are Comcast and the Snohomish County Substance Abuse Prevention Unit.
The first 1,000 kids at the 4:05 p.m. game at Memorial Stadium, 3802 Broadway in Everett, get a baseball cap. Gates open at 1:30 p.m.
The most aggressive growth scenario under consideration by the Snohomish County Council would mean an expansion of the urban growth areas by 11.5 square miles. That figure was incorrect in a story on how county leaders will be dealing with future growth, which appeared on page A1 Sunday.
