* Do not leave your pet locked in a parked car.
* Do not take your pet to public fireworks displays.

Need something to take the sting out?
According to the Lanacane Itch Information Center, Western Washington is not a Top 10 site for poison ivy itching and mosquito bites, but it is the No. 2 spot for bee and wasp stings, right behind Austin, Texas.
Fireworks banned on all public lands
If you are heading out to camp in Eastern Washington, remember drought conditions exist and fireworks can easily ignite forests and dry vegetation.
It is illegal to have or use any fireworks on federal or state lands. That includes ground fireworks, hand-held sparklers and poppers. Offenders could be fined up to $171 for possession of fireworks and could be held financially responsible for all costs of fighting a fire.
