The Beatles ‘Let It Be,’ 40 years later

Has it really been 40 years since the Beatles played a gig on that roof in London?

Ringo, Paul, George and John, along with Billy Preston on keyboards, performed on Jan. 30, 1969, on the rooftop of the Beatles’ Apple Records building at 3 Savile Row before an audience of friends and Apple employees.

Ken Mansfield, the American manager of Apple Records, plans to talk about The Beatles and the “Let It Be” rooftop concert at a free event set for 7 p.m. Jan. 28 in the Calvary Fellowship auditorium, 23302 56th Ave. W., in Mountlake Terrace. Doors open at 6:15 p.m.

Apply now for emergency aid

The state Emergency Management Division is asking home owners and owners of small businesses who have damages from the recent snow storms to file reports with their local emergency management office immediately.

Get your old TV or computer recycled

A recycling system set up by electronics manufacturers gives Snohomish County residents, owners of small business, charity organizations and schools a free way to deal with unwanted electronic equipment.

Computers, laptops, monitors and televisions that are outdated or no longer work can be recycled.
