Everett concert benefits Young Life
A benefit concert supporting Young Life, a nondenominational Christian ministry that reaches out to adolescents, is planned for Saturday in Everett.
Singers and songwriters Mark Wagner and Justin McRoberts are scheduled to perform. It’s planned for 7 p.m. at New Life Center, 6830 Highland Drive in Everett.
Kayla Anderson, a student at Everett High School, organized the concert.

Silver Lake group meets tonight
The Silver Lake Neighborhood Association meets at 7 tonight at Silver Lake Childcare Center, top floor, 11525 19th Ave. SE in Everett.
A community emergency response team will offer tips on earthquake planning and survival, as well as other possible local disaster preparations.
Training set for Sound Stewards
People For Puget Sound seeks volunteers to take free Sound Stewardship Training beginning Feb. 26 in Everett.
People For Puget Sound provides classroom and field instruction that includes regional history, an introduction to ecology and tips on planting, controlling weeds, and identifying native and invasive plants.
In return for 12 hours of training, Sound Stewards are asked to give 40 hours per year at a restoration site of their choice.
