Restaurants to donate to schools

A second annual Dine Out For Kids event is planned for Tuesday.

Sponsored by the Everett Public Schools Foundation, restaurants pledge to donate a portion of their proceeds that day to the foundation in support of programs aimed at improving academic achievement in the Everett Public Schools.

Everett Eagles express needs

Everett Eagles Club Community Band seeks musicians; brass, woodwind and percussion. They meet at 7:30 p.m. Mondays at 1216 Broadway in Everett.

The Eagles also need venues to perform Christmas concerts for a 25-piece band or an eight-piece brass choir.

More than 100 different varieties of mushrooms will be on display at the fall mushroom show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Floral Hall at Forest Park, 802 E. Mukilteo Blvd. Vendor booths, lectures and demonstrations at the free event are sponsored by the Snohomish County Mycological Society.

Sportsmen Club holds garage sale

The Sultan Sportsmen Club is planning a garage sale, opening at 9 a.m. today and Sunday at the E. Main Street Gazebo in Sultan. Donated goods will be available throughout the sale.
