Street of Dreams seeks volunteers
Work four hours and get a free pass into the 2007 Seattle Street of Dreams at Quinn’s Crossing near Snohomish.
Children’s Home Society of Washington needs volunteers to help at the 20th Seattle Street of Dreams Luxury Home and Garden Tour through Aug. 19.
Greet visitors, direct visitors through the homes and answer questions. Every volunteer host will receive one complimentary pass per shift to the 2007 Street of Dreams worth $18.

Remember sailors who died in Iraq
A motorcycle memorial poker run is planned Aug. 19 to honor two sailors who were killed July 17 in Iraq, both members of Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit 11: Chief Petty Officer Patrick Wade, 38, and Petty Officer 1st Class Jeffrey Chaney, 36.
They died when a roadside bomb exploded under their armored vehicle north of Baghdad in Salah Ad Din province.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. at the Whidbey Island Naval Air Station overflow parking lot. It costs $10 per bike and memorial patches will be available for $5.

First-aid, CPR classes offered
North County Fire and EMS offers monthly CPR and first-aid training. The department is based in Stanwood and Bryant.
The courses are sanctioned by the American Heart Association and taught by emergency medical technicians. They meet state training requirements for the workplace.
Adult, child and infant CPR training is scheduled for 6 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month at the Freeborn Fire Station, 3231 300th St. NW, Stanwood. Participants are also taught how to use automatic external defibrillators.
