Stars of the Discovery Channel reality show “The Deadliest Catch,” about crabbing in Alaska, will visit the Everett AquaSox on Tuesday at Memorial Stadium, 3900 Broadway.
Fans are invited to go early to the ballpark to meet Captain Phil Harris of the FV Cornelia Marie; his two sons Jake and Josh Harris; and the captain of the Farwest Leader, Greg Moncrief, and his wife, Ragnhild.
The evening is in part a benefit for the Seattle Fishermen’s Memorial fund.
Young artists sought for festival
Planners of the Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival are looking for young artists who’d like to have their work put on display during the event.
Junior exhibit entries from students in kindergarten through 12th grade are being accepted through Sept. 1. Forms can be downloaded from the event’s Web site at www.mukilteofestival. org.

Wednesday party in downtown Everett
Tim Koss and his Quintet will entertain at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Snohomish County Campus at 3000 Rockefeller Ave. in Everett.
Originally from Seattle, Koss moved to Everett in 1981 and has been performing with local jazz musicians throughout the Puget Sound region ever since.
Koss has composed over 100 pieces for jazz performance. In 1998 he released his first compact disc, “Home Run,” a collection of thirteen original tunes representing a variety of standard jazz styles. “Daddyo’s Double Play,” Koss’ second CD, released in 2001, is a compilation of a dozen more original tunes and three jazz standards.
Make scarves for soldiers
A group making cooling scarves for troops in Iraq meets from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at St. Thomas Moore, 6511 176th St. SW in Lynnwood.
They work with a Hugs Project out of Oklahoma City that has sent more than 50,000 neckerchiefs to Iraq.
