Overnight snow should be gone
Snohomish County saw 1 to 3 inches of snow Sunday night, but according to the National Weather Service in Seattle, this snow isn’t here to stay.
“We’ll see more snow until sometime after midnight, and then it’ll turn into rain,” meteorologist Dana Felton said Sunday night. “There is no more snow predicted throughout the week.”
Temperatures are expected to get warmer, into the lower 40s, Felton said.

How you can be ready for flooding
The Snohomish County Chapter of the American Red Cross advises residents to be ready for flooding. If needed, the Red Cross will open emergency shelters.
Residents should have the following:
First-aid kit and essential medications.
Canned food and a can opener.
At least three gallons of water per person.
Protective clothing, rainwear and bedding or sleeping bags.
Battery-powered radio, flashlight and extra batteries.
Items for vulnerable family members — infants, the elderly or the disabled.
Written instructions for turning off the electricity, gas and water if authorities advise you to do so. (You’ll need a professional to turn them back on.)
Identify where you could go if told to evacuate. Choose several places: a friend’s home in another town, a motel or a shelter.
