Adults can boogie at the ’80s prom

Joan Godden is helping organize an adult prom for parents of seniors at Arlington High School.

The event has a 1980s theme complete with music from that decade, Fantasy Casino blackjack tables, food and dancing.

It’s planned for 7 p.m. Feb. 11 at Gleneagle Country Club. Money goes to the senior class for a graduation party at a secret location.

Tickets are $50 per couple and can be purchased by calling Godden at 360-435-9294.

Sultan idol sought for awards night

The Sky Valley Chamber of Commerce will conduct auditions for a soloist to sing the grand finale song at the community awards celebration.

The song will be a salute to the final and most prestigious award winner of the night, the Sky Valley citizen of the year. This event usually draws about 200 people.

Auditions are planned for 7 p.m. Thursday at the Sultan Community Center, 319 Main St., Sultan.

Silvana Fair seeks volunteers

The Silvana Community Fair Auction will be in Silvana on March 11 at Viking Hall, 1331 Pioneer Highway. All money raised will go to support the fair, planned for July 29.
