SPOKANE — A donor dropped a 1-ounce gold coin wrapped in a $100 bill into a Salvation Army red kettle over the weekend in Spokane.
KXLY reports the Salvation Army knows who the donor is but he wishes to remain anonymous. He’s a retired firefighter and veteran who has been dropping a gold coin into a red kettle for five years.
The coin is worth more than $1,200.
