TACOMA — A Washington State Patrol trooper is being checked at a hospital as a precaution while a fire department hazmat team goes over his car at the patrol office in Tacoma.
Patrol spokesman Guy Gill told KING the trooper found his car vandalized at his home Tuesday with a “milky substance.” The trooper also found a bottle suspected of containing the substance. He put the bottle in a plastic bag and drove it to the Tacoma office.
Officials decided to call in the hazardous material response from Central Pierce Fire and Rescue, just to be safe.
Gill says it could take weeks for a lab to determine what was in the bottle.
