EVERETT — A Marysville man is dead after his vehicle collided head-on with a dump truck Tuesday afternoon on Highway 9.
Shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday, Washington State Patrol troopers responded to a report of a head-on collision north of 132nd St. SE near milepost 25.
Troopers say Kimberly Glasgow, 68, Marysville, was driving a blue Subaru Impreza south on Highway 9. Dennis Vanbeek, 60, was driving an International HX620 north on Highway 9 when Glasgow crossed the centerline and struck Vanbeek’s truck head-on.
The impact caused the Impreza to come to rest in the ditch on the west side of the road and the International to end up in the ditch on the east side.
Glasgow was declared deceased at the scene.
This was the second traffic fatality in less than seven hours in the Arlington area and the fourth traffic-related fatality investigated by the WSP in Snohomish County in the past 48 hours.
