OSO — A family of six was displaced in a house fire Tuesday in Oso.
The fire broke out around 10 a.m. in the 30200 block of Oso Loop Road, just south of the general store, Oso Fire Chief Willy Harper said.
Strong gusts of wind knocked down a power line nearby, but authorities were unsure if it caused the fire, Harper said. The wind made it difficult to quell the flames and it took firefighters about an hour to extinguish it.
Fire officials notified the Red Cross a family of two adults and four kids were displaced by the fire at the home, Harper said. A dog died in the fire. No other injuries were reported.
The cause remained under investigation Tuesday.
