I’m all about free classes. If you’ve ever considered catching the water running off your roof and reusing it, this one’s for you. The King County Extension office is holding a class on rainwater harvesting and cisterns led by Chris Webb, a civil engineer, 6:30 p.m., Nov. 14, Lake Wilderness Lodge, 22500 SE 248th Street, Maple Valley. And, yes, it’s free.
The focus will be on the different types of residential rainwater catchment systems, including design. You don’t have to register in advance but the organizers encourage it. Register online at http://king.wsu.edu/enviro/events.htm or call Darcy Batura at 206-205-3130.
