ARLINGTON — Drivers were being detoured off southbound I-5 near Arlington Tuesday morning after a crash involving a car and a semi-truck blocked all southbound lanes.
The crash was reported at about 4 a.m., just north of Highway 531.
KIRO TV reported that one person died and another was taken by helicopter to a Seattle hospital.
The Washington State Department of Transportation just after 6 a.m. reported that southbound traffic on I-5 was being detoured off at highway 530, then to Smokey Point Boulevard, then to 172nd Street NE and back onto I-5.
