MOSCOW, Idaho — A 28-year-old Moscow man has been sentenced to two to 15 years in prison for shooting a friend of his estranged wife when they arrived at her trailer house to change the locks.
The Lewiston Tribune reported that 2nd District Judge John R. Stegner sentenced Nathaniel H. Nisbet on Monday for the Nov. 10 shooting death of Charles “Pat” McMichael, 42.
McMichael, his wife and Nisbet’s wife, Erica Rossomando, had come to the trailer to change the locks on Rossomando’s trailer.
Prosecutors say Nisbet had barricaded himself inside the trailer and shot McMichael at least three times after McMichael pushed his way through the blocked door.
Under the plea agreement, a second-degree murder charge was dropped.
