Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Jason A. Snyder, son of Liz and Bob Snyder of Lake Stevens, recently participated in a change of command on board the guided-missile destroyer USS Farragut, Naval Station Mayport, Fla. Farragut returned from its 10-month deployment in April of this year and the crew was recognized for displaying excellence. Snyder is a 1998 graduate of Lake Stevens High School and joined the Navy in August 1998.
Air Force Airman Isiah J. Bishop graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Bishop is the son of Shirley Bishop of Columbia, Mo., and Joseph Bishop of Everett. He is a 2008 graduate of Hickman High School, Columbia, Mo.
