REDMOND, Ore. — Authorities say a 19-year-old woman who was found dead Sunday in a dry irrigation canal at Redmond was intoxicated and died of hypothermia or exposure to the cold.
Family, friends and police had searched for 19-year-old Jamie Garr of Redmond when she disappeared after drinking Saturday night at a nearby restaurant.
KTVZ reports police are sending their report on the death to the Oregon Liquor Control Commission to investigate underage drinking.
