Paradise Inn at Mount Rainier will reopen Friday after being closed for two years for renovations.
Tours of the 121-room lodge, built in 1916, begin at 1 p.m.
A ceremony featuring awards presentations and speeches by government officials, including U.S. Rep. Dave Reichert and U.S. Rep. Norm Dicks, will begin at 3 p.m. A ribbon-cutting and cake and coffee are planned for 3:30 p.m. with tours resuming from 4 to 5 p.m.
