LYNNWOOD — A fire at the Lynnwood Blazing Onion restaurant this weekend started in the kitchen’s exhaust system and spread into the duct work, investigators have determined.
The exhaust system was having problems last week and was scheduled for repairs, city spokeswoman Julie Moore said. The fire happened early Sunday morning at the restaurant at the Alderwood mall.
The damage to the kitchen was estimated at up to $60,000. It is not clear when the restaurant will reopen.
