EVERETT — Arlington police booked a 31-year-old Marysville man on Thursday outside Eagle Creek Elementary School on suspicion of driving under the influence, reckless endangerment and brandishing a knife.
Around 5:50 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to reports of a man driving unsafely on the grass along the fenceline of Eagle Creek Elementary School at 1216 E. 5th St. Witnesses told police the driver was behaving erratically during a school event, which led to an argument with bystanders, an Arlington Police Department social media post.
Officers detained the driver upon arrival, the post said. After further investigation and interviews with witnesses, officers booked the suspect into Snohomish County Jail.
The Arlington Police School Resource Officer is coordinating with representatives from the Arlington School District on safety planning measures related to this incident, the post said.
