SEATTLE — A Learjet made an emergency landing at Boeing Field in Seattle, and the front landing gear locked up and caught fire.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Mike Fergus told KCPQ that firefighters extinguished the flames today with foam, and the pilot escaped without injuries.
The Learjet 45, registered to Wal-Mart, had taken off for Anchorage. It immediately returned when the pilot was unable to retract the front landing gear.
