MONROE — A woman died Tuesday evening after being hit by a pickup truck and a sedan on Florence Acres Road, about five miles east of Monroe.
Witnesses reported that the woman appeared disoriented and was walking in the road shortly before the accident, according to Rebecca Hover, a spokeswoman for the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
The woman was struck in the 25100 block of Florence Acres Road about 6:30 p.m. by a pickup that was traveling west. The woman then ended up in the eastbound lane, where she was struck again, this time by a small sedan.
Several off-duty medics, who happened to be in the area, tried to treat her injuries, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Neither of the drivers was injured. No further information was available Tuesday night on the woman’s identity.
Mill Creek: Police seek bank robber
Police are searching for a man who robbed Key Bank on Monday.
The suspect handed a teller a note demanding money about 5 p.m. and ran off with the cash. No weapon was seen.
The man was seen running west of the bank, which is on the Bothell-Everett Highway.
A police dog searched for the robber but was unable to find him. The suspect was described as a white man in his 40s with a slight mustache. He was dressed in black and carried a black backpack. He had on a black baseball hat with green lettering.
