Lynnwood man hospitalized with serious burns

LYNNWOOD — A man in his 50s was seriously burned in a fire Wednesday night in the Lynnwood area.

The man was burned over most of his body, and his injuries were life-threatening, said Leslie Hynes, spokeswoman for Snohomish County Fire District 1. The man was taken to a Seattle hospital.

The back yard fire was reported about 7:30 p.m. in the 13700 block of 36th Avenue West, north of Lynnwood.

The Snohomish County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.

Additional details were not available late Wednesday night.
