The Lynnwood Police Department is receiving money for a new police dog.
They are receiving $5,000 from Del Monte Pet Products and Milk-Bone with Fred Meyer. To celebrate, a police dog demonstration is planned at 10 this morning at Fred Meyer, 2902 164th St. SW in Lynnwood.
The Lynnwood Police Department has three police dogs: Buddy and his partner, Officer Cole Langdon, Vader and his partner, Officer Curtis Zatylny, and Sandor and his partner, Sgt. Jason Valentine.
The $5,000 will go towards a future replacement when needed.
Columbus Day brings closures: Monday is Columbus Day. Sail away and search for a new land perhaps. No need to cook a turkey, decorate a tree, watch a football game or shoot fireworks.
Now that’s a good holiday.
