SEATTLE — Seattle police arrested a man early Monday after a standoff with a man accused of beating his 80-year-old mother.
Officers were first called to the area by another woman who said the man had assaulted her and pointed a gun at her. She also said the man’s mother had been assaulted and needed medical treatment.
Police surrounded the house and talked the man into surrendering. Officers recovered a handgun and jailed the man for investigation of assault.
The mother was treated by fire department medics for bruises.
