SEATTLE — A 21-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with a fatal shooting on a Metro bus in a Seattle suburb on Tuesday.
The Seattle Times reported that Faisal Adan of Kent was also charged Friday with assault for pointing the revolver at the bus driver and with unlawful possession of a firearm.
The charges said 27-year-old Ahmed Sheikah was shot four times and died Thursday at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Court papers said Adan was chatting with Sheikah on the bus when Adan suddenly shot Sheikah, whom he didn’t know, repeatedly. Adan is accused of then pointing the gun at the bus driver and getting off the bus. He was arrested shortly afterward by Renton police.
Adan allegedly told police he did it because he was afraid the man was going to threaten him.
