Man fatally stabs girlfriend’s adult son in Auburn

AUBURN — Auburn police say a man fatally stabbed his girlfriend’s adult son after he tried to break up a heated argument between the couple.

The man, who has not been named, has been booked into jail on investigation of murder.

Commander Steve Stocker of Auburn police says the stabbing took place around 10:30 p.m. Thursday at the girlfriend’s Auburn apartment.

The man fled after the stabbing but was detained in Anacortes and returned to Auburn authorities.
