LYNNWOOD — The man who died in a motorcycle crash Monday night was identified as Joseph D. Jackson, 28, of Everett, the Snohomish County medical examiner said.
Jackson died from head injuries, the medical examiner said. His death was ruled accidental.
Just before 8 p.m. Monday, Jackson’s 2006 Harley-Davidson crashed into a concrete sign post at the intersection of 140th Street SW and 64th Avenue W., Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said. He died at the scene.
Crash detectives were investigating whether Jackson was wearing a helmet and whether speed was a factor in the crash, she said.

A man accused of stealing about $450,000 from grocery store coin-counting machines in three states was charged Tuesday with first-degree theft in Everett District Court.
Michael R. Burns, 39, allegedly ripped off the machines while working for Coinstar Inc. The machines convert loose change into cash. Burns, of Maple Valley in King County, wore a company uniform when he walked into stores and used inside knowledge to break into the kiosks, according to court documents.
When police arrested Burns on Friday, they confiscated around $130,000 in cash along with high-priced electronics and a new Harley-Davidson motorcycle, the documents said. Detectives still haven’t accounted for thousands of dollars more that are missing.
Police were alerted after loss prevention officers at Bellevue-based Coinstar discovered thefts at several of their kiosks.
A judge on Monday ordered Burns held on $250,000 bail.
Prosecutors have until May 30 to file charges in Snohomish County Superior Court.

Snohomish: Argument leads to woman’s arrest
A Snohomish woman was arrested after she allegedly punched her husband, fired a gun at him and her daughter and then held her family captive for several minutes, according to court documents.
The woman, 36, allegedly got into an argument with her husband, 53. She’s accused on punching him in the face, giving him a bloody nose, the documents said.
The woman later reportedly pulled out a .357-caliber Magnum handgun and fired a round, missing her husband and her daughter, 16, by about four feet. She then kept them hostage for about four minutes in a bedroom, the documents said.
She was later arrested without incident. The woman was booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of two counts of assault and two counts of unlawful imprisonment.
Mountlake Terrace: Suspects arrested
Mountlake Terrace police said they arrested two Snohomish County men Monday night who are suspected in a Seattle-area home-invasion robbery.
The men allegedly were armed with guns when they went into a home just before 6 p.m. Monday in the 11700 block of Sand Point Way NE, Seattle police spokesman Mark Jamieson said.
Seattle police broadcast suspect information to police in the area, he said.
Mountlake Terrace officers spotted the getaway car in the 4900 block of 216th Place SW, said Mountlake Terrace police Sgt. Doug Hansen.
They arrested the men, ages 20 and 22, without incident, Hansen said.
The men were turned over to Seattle police. Two men were booked into the King County Jail for investigation of robbery, Jamieson said. The third man was interviewed and released.
