POULSBO — The Kitsap County sheriff’s office is investigating the Wednesday night police shooting that left a young man dead in Poulsbo.
Sheriff’s Deputy Scott Wilson says police responded to a report of the man waving and firing a gun outside the Les Schwab tire store.
Witnesses told the Kitsap Sun when police arrived they heard a single shot and then a volley of shots.
Wilson says the man was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was injured.
Three Poulsbo officers have been placed on paid leave for the investigation.
