Man shot while pumping gas in Everett

A man in his mid-40s refused another’s demand for his wallet. The victim was hospitalized.

EVERETT — A man pumping gas was shot by someone trying to rob him Monday night.

The victim, in his mid-40s, was pumping gas at a fuel station on West Casino Road around 9:45 p.m. when a male came up to him and demanded his wallet, Everett Police Department spokesman Kerby Duncan said. The man refused, then the suspect shot him and ran off.

The man was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.

Detectives were reviewing video footage and did not give a description of the suspect.
