EVERETT — A man wanted in connection with a fatal shooting Monday morning in south Everett was arrested without incident this morning at an Ellensburg truck stop.
Bud Michael Fraser, 21, reportedly hitchhiked to Ellensburg overnight, Everett Police Sgt. Robert Goetz said.
Detectives got a tip that Fraser, who was seen walking away from the scene of Monday’s killing, was in the central Washington city, Goetz said. Everett police asked officers in Ellensburg to make the arrest.
The victim, reported in his 20s, had just dropped a woman off for work at an espresso stand. Fraser had dated the woman, Goetz said. The woman’s relationship to the victim hasn’t been disclosed.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner was expected to perform an autopsy. The victim’s identity has not been released.
Everett detectives were on their way to Ellensburg today to take custody of Fraser, Goetz said. He’s expected to be booked into the Snohomish County Jail for investigation of first-degree murder.
