MOUNTLAKE TERRACE — A Shoreline man who died while swimming in Lake Ballinger Tuesday afternoon has been identified.
Timothy A. Bergstrom, 52, dove into the water to retrieve an object when he drowned, according to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
His friends pulled him onto a raft and attempted CPR, according to South County Fire.
Firefighters responded a little after 3:05 p.m. and reached the man using a rescue boat kept on the lake. They continued CPR on the way back to shore, but couldn’t revive him.
