On May 24, nearly 150 people attended the YMCA of Snohomish County’s annual My Achievers Program (MAP) Recognition and Scholarship Banquet. Students from all six YMCA of Snohomish County family branches represented the My Achievers Program.
MAP aims to motivate and support young people of color, native and immigrant youth, most of whom are from lower socioeconomic status, ages 11-19, to achieve higher education and career goals.
Scholarships went to graduating seniors who demonstrated leadership and full participation in the program. This year, 13 students received scholarships, thanks to the EverTrust Foundation and American Distributing Company.
