SEATTLE — Mary Kay Letourneau is now a grandmother. The former Highline School District teacher who was jailed because of her sexual relationship with an underage student is celebrating becoming a grandmother.
Letourneau, now 48, was convicted of raping her former student, who she later married after she was released from prison. The couple has two daughters — a 13-year-old and a 12-year-old.
Letourneau and her current husband, Vili Fualaau, say her granddaughter was born to Letourneau’s oldest son from her first marriage. He told KOMO News it’s a joy and a blessing to have a newborn in the family.
