MARYSVILLE — A fire that displaced at least six people in Marysville on Friday racked up $85,000 in damage, according to the county fire marshal.
The fire destroyed one unit at the Cedar Home Apartment complex along Grove Street, said Christie Veley, a spokeswoman with the Marysville Fire District. Another two units sustained smoke damage.
The Snohomish County Fire Marshal believes the fire started in the living room of the apartment that burned down, Veley said. The smoke alarms inside did not have working batteries.
The fire marshal continues to look into the cause of the fire.
